On the 16th and 17th of June, the first transnational meeting took place in Ohrid alongside the project partners in the frames of the “Youth Employment Initiative” project (YEI), which is led by/implemented by the Local Action Group Agro Lider in partnership with Asociatia Tineri Pentru Comunitate Bistrita from Romania and Associazione InCo from Italy, with support by the Erasmus+  program and the National Agency for European educational programs and mobility.

The high unemployment rate among the youth and their emigration represents a problem in the society not only in our country, but also in the world, and the COVID-19 pandemics only deepened the challenges for young people especially to those coming from vulnerable categories, to access the labor market and to ensure economic income through employment.
The partner organizations created this project with an aim to help to overcome unemployment by providing the skills, experience, and opportunity to take the first successful steps in their careers.

The project team consisted of the project partners who research, analyze, share good practices and actively work on decreasing the number of unemployed youth through securing supported employment by the youth trainers/coaches. At the meeting, the following activities were defined, and a call will be open for all interested young people/youth coaches that would like to improve their skills and knowledge through mechanisms and examples of good practices for youth employment.
