Representatives of all of the partners’ organizations, on September 5th and 6th 2021 in Bistrica, Romania had a meeting where they discussed the activities and future plans within the project “Youth Employment Initiative”.
At the meeting, the team defined the activities that will follow and work together to reduce the number of unemployed young people by providing services for supported employment. The fact is that youth unemployment is one of the biggest socio-economic problems faced by many countries in the world.
In all of the partner organizations countries, from Italy, Romania,and N. Macedonia, face a high unemployment rate which is accompanied by inequality and social exclusion, especially among the young population, and long periods of unemployment affect the opportunities for young people to secure a job with opportunity for a career and a decent salary.
This prompted organizations to create a youth employment support program that would aim to detect the personal competencies of young people involved in the program, followed by detecting employers’ preferences for youth employment and youth connectivity with potential employers and stakeholders.
With the support of the Erasmus + program and the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility, in the coming period the program will start piloting in the communities of the partner organizations, and its monitoring will enable identification of good practices and employment opportunities and achieve greater employability in countries participating in the project.
